Michael DeThomas
Michael has over sixteen years of experience in the Information Technology industry as an Enterprise Network & Systems Architect. Michael has extensive experience in designing and architecting scalable and adaptable technology architectures, planning and implementing new technologies; product evaluations and recommendations; identifying alternative solutions; presenting recommendations to senior management and the executive level; budget planning; coordinating technology upgrades; and managing large, geographically distributed projects. He is an experienced project manager and business strategy expert with cutting edge technology skills. He is also a specialist in security and network security design.
In 1999, Michael conceived and developed the first truly practical and comprehensive integrated enterprise model for assessing and implementing technology strategy objectives across all business functions. This ever-evolving model has been used with considerable success for a wide variety of Global 1000 clients within North America, South America, and Europe.
Most recently, Michael has turned his focus to developing low cost IT outsourcing options for small and mid-size firms through improving efficiencies of scale and leveraging cutting edge technologies. Currently, he manages a small but highly skilled architecture practice team capable of delivering both technical delivery and technology strategy components. He has served as a subject matter expert on network architecture and information security projects, oversaw client engagements, and guided the activities of project managers and architects. He also provided expert business strategy consulting to senior management and executive level personnel.
He holds flagship certifications from most Original Equipment Manufacturer's and sits on the advanced routing protocol development team for the Internet Engineering Task Force. He was granted his undergraduate degree with honors from PennState University and completed his Master's program at Villanova University. He currently resides in Wayne, Pa and remains an active member of his community.
